AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO DOORDARSHAN INTRODUCTION:    Doordarshan is the most accepted mean of mass communication media of our society. Doordarshan is an autonomous public service broadcaster founded by Government of information and broadcasting  ministry of India and one of Prasar Bharti two divisions.  It was established on 15 September 1959.In Karnataka ,Gulbarga was the first state where doordarshan kendre was started on  3rd November 1979.And in Bangalore ,the cultural capital of state added a feather in its cap with the inauguration of doordarshan relay centre started on 1st November 1981.Doordarshan offers three tier programme services: National, Regional and Local. OBJECTIVES:  A visit to Doordarshan is interesting as well as educative. It gave us  the insight of work and research proposal related to our subject study Mass Media. It helped to supplement the various theories acquired in the classroom for the simultaneous understanding and application of Mass Media Studies.
